Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month. Learn the symptoms. Spread the word. Help save lives.

Do you know the 5 key symptoms?

Bowel cancer is one of the most treatable cancers when caught early. Knowing what to look for could save your life – or someone you love.

Blood in your poo

Any blood – bright red or very dark – should be checked by your GP, even if you feel well.

Change in bowel habits

Persistent diarrhoea, constipation, or a noticeable change lasting more than a few weeks.

Abdominal pain or cramping

Ongoing discomfort, bloating, or cramping in your tummy that doesn’t go away.

Unexplained weight loss

Losing weight without trying can be a sign that something isn’t right.

Tiredness and fatigue

Feeling constantly exhausted or low on energy, which may be caused by internal bleeding.
